He married Cora Lee Myers. Cora was born December 10, 1920. Cora was the daughter of Grover Cleveland Myers and Minnie L. Wilkins. Cora died June 20, 2007 in Mocksville, Davie Co., NC. OBIT: Cora Lee Myers Hutchens, 86, of Howard Street, Mocksville, died Wednesday, June 20, 2007, at Autumn Care of Mocksville. Born in Yadkin County on Dec. 10, 1920, she was the daughter of the late Grover Cleveland and Minnie L. Wilkins Myers. She was a homemaker and a member of Mountain View Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her first husband, James McKinley Hutchens; and her second husband, John Blaine Hutchens. She was also preceded in death by two sons, Marshall Ray Hutchens and James H. Hutchens; two sisters, Mattie Brannock and Betty Myers Freeland; and a brother, David Leon Myers. Mrs. Hutchens is survived by two sons, Henry Lee (Deborah) Hutchens of Yadkinville and Clyde Eugene (Ofelia) Hutchens of Mocksville; two daughters, Faye Whitaker of Mocksville and Patsy (Jimmy) Church of Cooleemee; two sisters, Marjorie Wall and Mary (Jack) Harris, all of Yadkinville; 22 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and s! everal nieces and nephews. A celebration of life service for Mrs. Hutchens will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, June 22, in the Davie Funeral Service Chapel, with the Rev. Tim Tucker officiating. Burial will be at 4 p.m. in Mountain View Baptist Church Cemetery in Hamptonville. The family will receive friends from noon to 2 p.m. Friday, June 22, at the funeral home. Memorials are requested for Mountain View Baptist Church, 1232 Mountain View Road, Hamptonville, NC 27020. Davie Funeral Service is serving the family of Mrs. Hutchens.

James (Jim) Mckinley Hutchens and Cora Lee Myers had the following children:

 13012 iv. James Hugh (Bud) Hutchens was born in Yadkinville, Yadkin Co., NC August 21, 1912. James died February 25, 2002. OBIT: Mr. James "Bud" Hutchens, 59, of Mize Road, died Monday, Feb. 25, 2002, at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center.

He was born Aug. 21, 1942, to James M. and Cora Lee Myers Hutchens.

He was employed by the N.C. Department of Transportation and was a member of Mount Zion Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his father. He is survived by his wife, Lucille Mize Hutchens; three sisters, Janie H. Driver of Boonville, Faye Whitaker of Mocksville, and Patsy (Jimmy) Church of Woodleaf; three brothers, Marshall Ray (Lucy) Hutchens, Henry Lee (Deborah) Hutchens, both of Yadkinville, and Clyde Eugene (Ofelia) Hutchens of Mocksville; and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be at 3 p.m. Thursday at Mackie-Reavis Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Grady Trivette and the Rev. Tim Tucker officiating. Burial will be at Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Mackie-Reavis Funeral Home of Yadkinville. Memorials may be made to Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, Yadkinville. Mackie-Reavis Funeral Home of Yadkinville is serving the family.

He married Mary Lucille Mize.

Mary was born May 5, 1936 in Yadkin Co., NC. Mary was the daughter of Willie M. Mize and Geneva Key. Mary died January 30, 2008 in Yadkinville, Yadkin Co., NC. OBIT: Mary Lucille Mize Hutchens, 71, of Mize Road, died on Wednesday, Jan. 27, at her home. Born in Yadkin County on May 5, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Willie M. and Geneva Key Mize. She was a homemaker and a member of Bethel Baptist Church. Her husband, James H. "Bud" Hutchens preceded her in death in Feb., 2002.

Mrs. Hutchens is survived by two brothers: Luther Mize and Troy Mize of Yadkinville, four sisters: Ella Mae (James) Wooten of Mocksville, Pearl (Sandy) Harris and Nellie Hobson of Yadkinville and Linda (Willis) Smith of Mocksville. In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Hutchens was preceded in death by a brother: Leroy Mize.

A graveside service to celebrate Mrs. Hutchen's life was held on Friday, Feb. 1, at 2:30 p.m. at Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Jesse Miles officiating. The family received friends on Friday from 12- 2 p.m. at Mackie-Sinclair Funeral Home which is serving the family of Mrs. Hutchens.
