He married Loretta Jean Mineo. Loretta was born June 20, 1930 in Willow Hill, Jasper Co., IL. Loretta was the daughter of Gother Dale Mineo and Macel Leona King. Loretta died September 11, 2002 in Florence, Florence Co., SC. OBIT: Loretta Jean Mineo Dunaway, 72, of 4205 Dunaway Drive, Florence, died Wednesday, Sept. 11, 2002, in a Florence hospital. Mrs. Dunaway was born in Willow Hill, Ill., daughter of the late Gother Dale and Macel King Mineo. She was a retired cosmetologist.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James David Dunaway; and by a son, Gregory Wayne Dunaway.
Surviving are three children, Debra Teresa Dunaway, Stephen Frank Dunaway and David Lane Dunaway all of Florence; a brother; three sisters; three grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday in Christ Episcopal Church.
