Clenis died December 17, 2004 in College Station, Brazos Co, TX. OBIT: CLENIS EUGENE (C. E.) WILSON ,76, of Millican died at 3:10 p.m. Friday in College Station. Mr. Wilson was born January 15, 1928 in Cedar Grove, Oklahoma the son of Robert L. and Vercie (Williams) Wilson.
He worked at American Iron Machine Works in Oklahoma City before enlisting in the Air Force. He was stationed in Spokane, Washington where he met his wife of 51 years Patricia Green. After serving in the Air Force he returned to Oklahoma City and worked for American Iron Machine Works for 20 years before moving to Midland, Texas where he worked for Drilco International. He remained in Midland for four years before being transferred to Houston. In 1976 he moved to Navasota to become President of Tubular Finishing Works (now Grant Prideco) until 1982. In 1986 he founded Navasota Industrial Supply which remains in his family today.
He is survived by his wife: Patricia Wilson of Millican; daughter and son-in-law: Vicki and Randy Stapp of Millican; two grandsons & grand-daughters-in-law: Scott & Colleen Stapp of College Station and Philip & Stephanie Stapp of Millican; great-granddaughter Madalyn Stapp of College Station; sisters & brothers-in-law: Wanda & Glen Byers of Navasota and Opal Martin of Oklahoma City; brothers & sisters-in-law: Bobby & Esther Wilson of Tulsa, Ok. and Lyndel & Lee Wilson of Seguin. He was preceded in death by his son: Robert Nathan Wilson. Funeral services were held at 2:00 pm Wednesday at Nobles Funeral Chapel with Rev. Doug Tillery officiating. Interment was in Oakland Cemetery in Navasota.
Serving as pallbearers were: Bill Jones of Oklahoma City, Hollis LaRoe of Spring, John French of Spring, Howard Owens of Millican, Jerry Lane of Navasota and Vastine Hughes of Navasota.
Honorary Pallbearers were: John Rath, Tommy Orrell, Tom Loomis, Jr. Mario Vigil, Wallace Armatys, Dr. L. O. Coleman, Fred Homeyer, Bud Powell, Neal Bosse, Clifford James, Lugene Lohmeyer, Charles Ketchum, and Robert Lys.
