Mrs. Allmond was born in Harnett Co a daughter of the late William Ben Allgood and Ouida Deal Allgood. For many years she worked as a Nurses Aid at the Convalescent Center. She loved her family and her extended family through work, the beach, flowers, and reading. Mrs. Allmond is survived by two daughters, Cathy Howard and husband Keith of Sanford, and Cindy Blackburn and husband Chris of Cameron; sons Richard Whitaker and fianc? Debra Bryant of Cameron, Cliff Whitaker and wife Denise of Sanford, Mike Whitaker and wife Mitszi of Lumberton, David Whitaker and wife Lisa of Sanford, John Whitaker and wife Debbie of Sanford, and Steve Allmond and wife Katherine of Sanford; 4 sisters Lou Yow and husband Ernest, Ann Jackson and husband Wayne, and Joan Wicker and husband Gary, and Kay Logue and husband Howard of Sanford; one brother, Bill Allgood and wife Rose of Clarksville, TN; 19 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
She married twice. She married Eugene Douglas Allmond. She married Asa Eugene Whitaker.
