He married Maxine Lou Peters December 8, 1923 in Walton Co, GA. Maxine was born June 16, 1903 in Morgan Co., GA. Maxine was the daughter of Rufus Jaclson Peters and Jessie Irene (___). Maxine died October 7,1987 Jersey, Walton Co, GA. OBIT: Mrs. Mamie Peters Allgood of Jersey died Oct. 7, 1987 at her residence. She was 84. A native of Morgan County, she had lived in Walton County most of her life. Born June 16, 1903, she was the daughter of the late Rufus J. Peters and Irene Peters. She was the widow of Roy D. Allgood who died in 1979 and a member of the Jersey Holiness Church.
The funeral was held Oct. 8, 1987 in the Jersey Holiness Church. The Rev. Randall Allgood and the Rev. Lynn Head officiated. Interment was in the church cemetery. Pallbearers were Melvin Allgood, James Ralph Peters, J. R. Peters, Paul Coker and Felton Allen. She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Donald (Irene) Phillips of Walnut Grove; son, Johnny Allgood of Jersey; seven grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
