Mary died December 4, 2012 in Burlington, Alamance Co., NC. OBIT: Mary Nell Eaves Green, 96, a former resident of 238 West Balview Ave, died Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2012, at the Hospice and Palliative Care Center in Burlington. Born in Vance County on Dec. 11, 1915, she was the daughter of the late Charlie O. Eaves and Addie Lou Ayscue Eaves. She was a retired elementary school teacher, a member of the Alpha Delta Kappa Teacher’s Sorority, and a member of Miles Memorial Methodist Church in Norfolk, Va. Funeral services will be held Friday, Dec. 7, 2012, at 2 p.m., at Liberty Christian Church by the Rev. Tammy Ayscue. Graveside services will be held Saturday, Dec. 8, 2012, at 11 a.m., at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Norfolk, Va., by the Rev. John Haynes. She is survived by her daughter, Edith G. Pierce of Cary, two grandchildren, and one great-grandson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Fulton M. Green; and her daughter, Mary Lou Green. The family will receive friends Friday, Dec. 7, 2012, prior to the service, from 1-2 p.m., at Liberty Christian Church.
She married Fulton Monroe Green. Fulton was born August 21, 1915 in Cerro Gordo, Columbus Co., NC. Fulton was the son of Montgomery G Green and Maggie Mae Page. Fulton died March 25, 1982 in Petersburg, Dinwiddie Co., VA.
Mary Nell Eaves and Fulton Monroe Green had the following children:
