Allen died February 3,2013 in Wilmington, Newhanover Co., NC. OBIT: Allen Thomas "Goober" Lynch, 67, of Leland passed away Sunday, February 3, 2013, at Lower Cape Fear Hospice and LifeCareCenter. Mr. Lynch was born in South Hill, Virginia, to the late Benjamin Phillip Lynch and to Virgie Pearl Matthews Lynch. He was employed by FW Groves and Cape Fear Pallet as a truck driver. He loved motorcycles, horses, and racing. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Becky Rogers, and step-son, Max, Jr. Survivors include his wife of 21 years, Delores Sellers Lynch, of the home; his mother, Virgie Matthews Lynch, of Norlina, NC; son, Allen A. "Rudy" Lynch, of Leland; five step-daughters, Della, Barbie, Betsy, Georgeanna, and April; a step-son, Ken; two brothers, Wayne Lynch, of Knoxville, TN, and Steve Lynch, of Norlina, NC; 19 grandchildren; and 13 1/2 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM, Saturday, February 9, 2013, at The Point Church, 324-L Village Road, Leland, NC, 28451. The family will see friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM, Friday, at Wilmington Funeral Chapel.
He married twice. He married an unknown person Apgil 20, 1972 in Warren Co., NC. He married Delores Ssllers 1992.
