He married Elsie Savage. Elsie was born October 7, 1914 in Vance Co., NC. Elsie was the daughter of Rowland Lee Savage and Hattie Gertrude Farmer. Elsie died March 23, 1985 in Henderson, Vance Co., NC.

Thurston Clark Medlin and Elsie Savage had the following children:
