Loius died September 24, 2010 in Raleigh, Wake Co., NC. OBIT: Louis Thurman Perdue, 72, a lifelong native of Franklin County, died peacefully on Friday, Sept. 24, 2010, at Duke University Medical Center after a lengthy illness.

He was a lifelong farmer and member of Trinity United Methodist Church. He was the son of the late Thurman Hight Perdue and the late Mary Helen Cottrell Perdue, born on June 16, 1938. He was preceded in death by a sister, Martha Ann P. Peoples, and a brother, Philip Sterling Perdue.

He is survived by his wife, Grace Champion Perdue; his daughter, Kathy Perdue Shearin of Louisburg; his son, Tony Dale Perdue of Louisburg; his sister, Beckie Perdue Stamper and husband, Bob of Henderson; his grandchildren, Maximillian B. Perdue of Cary and Nicholas E. Shearin of Louisburg; his son-in-law, Ed Shearin of Louisburg; his daughter-in-law, Mitsu Suyemoto of Cary; his sister-in-law, Joan S. Perdue of Boone, and many loving cousins.

Funeral services will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at Lancaster Funeral and Cremation Services Chapel. Burial will follow in Lancaster Memorial Park.

He married Grace Champion.

Loius Thurman Perdue and Grace Champion had the following children:
