She married John Washington Hamm December 15, 1859 in Franklin Co., NC. John was born April 5, 1838 in Franklin Co., NC. John was the son of Jeremiah "Jerry" Hamm and Orinda Ann Ayscue. John died September 7, 1893 in Franklin Co., NC.
Sarah (Sallie) Louise Journigan and John Washington Hamm had the following children:

1727 v. Lucy Ann Blanche Hamm was born June 16, 1870.
1728 vi. Mary (Mollie) Julia Lee Hamm was born Octobe 14,1873.
1729 vii. Priscilla Jane (Jennie) Hamm was born October 13, 1875.
1730 viii. Julia (Jodie) Henry Hamm was born May 17, 1881.
