Born in Epson, N.C., she moved to Central Florida in 1986. She was a member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church, Ormond Beach, and the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists. Survivors: husband, John P.; daughters, Gwendolyn Kyullberg, Herndon, Va., Mary Frances Rieth, Castle Rock, Colo.; brothers, Starkey Tarrington, Larry Tarrington, both of Plant City, Kinwood Tarrington, Anniston, Ala.; sisters, Juanita Ayscue, Thelma Poythress, Naomi Stranton, Martha McMahon, all of Plant City; one grandchild. Ormond Funeral Home, Ormond Beach.

She married John Phillip Palenchar.
