Howard died January 2, 2009. OBIT: Howard Donald Allgood, 86, of the 1800 block of Sunrise Dr., passed away on Friday, January 2, 2009. A native of Norfolk, VA, Howard was retired from Norfolk Fire Department after 40 years of service. He also was a U. S. Army veteran of WWII, serving in the 658th Amphibious Tractor Battalion in the Pacific Theater. He was predeceased by his wife, Norma W. Allgood, and is survived by two sons, Donald T. Allgood and wife Linda and Howard P. Allgood, all of Virginia Beach, VA; two brothers, Roland Allgood of Chesapeake, VA and Lloyd Allgood of Norfolk, VA; two grandchildren, Indigo Allgood and Maximum Mead, both of Virginia Beach, VA. A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Tuesday at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel. Burial will follow in Forest lawn Cemetery. -
He married Norma Mae Ward. Norma was born March 17, 1927. Norma was the daughter of Milton Thomas Ward and Edith M Waterfield. Norma died November 29, 2006. OBIt: Norma W. Allgood, 79, of the 1800 block of Sunrise Dr., passed away on Wednesday, November 29, 2006, at a local nursing facility. Born in Norfolk, VA, Mrs. Allgood was a retired salesperson with the Navy Exchange. She is survived by her husband, Howard Donald Allgood; two sons, Donald T. Allgood and wife Linda and Howard P. Allgood; and two grandchildren, Indigo Allgood and Maximum Mead, all of Virginia Beach, VA. A funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Friday at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
