Mrian waa the biologica Daughter of Adolphus and Myrtle Allgood Marian died November 13, 2009 in Mecklenburg Co, VA. OBIT: Mrs. Marian Albright Allgood Brame, a Boydton, Va. native passed away at age 86. She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, James (Alex) Brame Jr.; a son, James (Jimmy) Brame III; her parents, Sterling and Annie Allgood; biological parents, Adolphus and Myrtle Allgood; infant sister, Mable Jean Allgood; step mother, Daisy Allgood; half brothers, James and Garland Allgood.
She is survived by sons, Teddy and wife Martha Brame and Michael Brame of Boydton, Va.; daughter, Patricia and husband Bill Wheeler of Norfolk, Va.; eight grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Also surviving are brothers, Walter and wife Louise Allgood, Monty and wife Frances Allgood; sisters, Bessie Wilkerson, Barbara Gill and Lucille Blalock. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
She was an Army Cadet Nurse during WWII, a nurse at Community Memorial Hospital and Mecklenburg Correction Center.
She married James Aleander (Alex) Brame JR. James was born June 12,1925 in Baskenville, Meclenberg Co., VA. James was the son of James Alexander Brame. James died November 13, 2009 in Boydton, Mecklenburg Co, VA. OBIT: Mr. James Alexander Brame, Jr. age 84, of Boydton died Friday, November 13, 2009 at his residence. He is survived by his wife, Marian A. Brame of the home; two sons, Teddy Grey Brame and Michael Lee Brame both of Boydton and one daughter, Patricia Brame Wheeler of Norfolk; 8 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Mr. Brame was preceded in death by his son, James Alexander Brame, III. A celebration of life service will be conducted at 2pm, Sunday, November 15, 2009 at Farrar Funeral Chapel by Rev. Ronnie Campbell. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home
