Christine Elizabeth¹¹ Allgood (Howard Sydney¹⁰, William Edward (Eddie)⁹, John James⁸, William Edward⁷, Holwell Edward⁶, John Young⁵, William⁴ Algood, Edward³ Allgood, William², Edward¹ Algood) was born in Mecklenberg Co., VA August 12, 1922. Christine died January 31, 2015 in Creedmoor, Granville Co., NC. OBIT: Christine Allgood Seamans Matthews, 92, widow of Floyd J. Seamans and Lemuel Matthews, passed away Saturday, Jan. 31, 2015 at MeadowView Terrace.

Christine was born Aug. 12, 1922 to the late Sid and Lena Griffin Allgood. She was a homemaker.

Mrs. Matthews is survived by her children and their spouses, J.B. and Betty Seamans of Greensboro, N.C., Margaret and Walter Young of Burlington, N.C., Bobby and Linda Seamans of Gordonsville, Jean and Bobby Reavis of Goldsboro, N.C., Danny and Sheila Seamans of Chase City and Gary and Donna Seamans of Clarksville; seventeen grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. Her brothers and sisters, Marie Honeycutt, Edith Nicholson, Huston Allgood, Meredith Allgood, Joyce Wilson, Judy Glasscock, and Butch Allgood also survive.

She was preceded in death by her son, Pat Seamans, sisters, Sue Yancey and Doris Mathis and brother, Ryland Allgood.

A funeral was held Tuesday in the chapel at Watkins Cooper Lyon Funeral Home with the Rev. Tommy Puryear officiating. Interment followed in Bluestone Cemetery.

She married twice. She married Floyd James Seaman November 4 1939 in Boydton, Mecklenburg Co, VA. Floyd was born July 2, 1914 in Mecklenberg Co., VA. Floyd was the son of Joseph Leonard Seamans and Edna Pearl Wade. Floyd died Jluy 16, 1980 in Danville Co., VA. She married Lemuel Perry Matthews June 14, 1986 in Mecklenberg Co., VA. Lemuel was born April 6, 1912 in Clarksville, Mecklenburg Co., VA. Lemuel was the son of James Thomas Matthews and Juilia Ida Hite. Lemuel died December 8, 2004 in South Boston, Halifax Co., VA.

Christine Elizabeth Allgood and Floyd James Seaman had the following children:
