Darlene died Agust 10, 2002 in Winston-Salem, Forsyth Co., NC. OBIT: Mrs. Darlene Allgood Wooten, 54, passed away Saturday, Aug. 10, 2002, at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home.
She was born Jan. 26, 1948, in Forsyth County to Lewis Ray and Emma Lee Myers Allgood.
Surviving are her husband, Danny Wooten of the home; two sons, Jonathan Wooten and wife Kendra of Clemmons and Alan Wooten of the home; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Allgood of Clemmons; a sister, Betty Payne and husband Robert of Greensboro; a nephew, Stephen Payne and wife Larissa of Falls Church, Va.; a niece, Dorian Payne of Greensboro; an aunt, Lucille Potts of Advance; an uncle, Raeford Myers of Clemmons; numerous cousins and her devoted pets, Murphy, Penny, Teela and Chester.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 13, 2002, at Union Hill Baptist Church Cemetery by the Rev. Howard Wagoner. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel.
