Betty died January 27, 2015. OBIT: Betty Williams McIntosh, 82, of Covington, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 27, 2015. McIntosh was born in Walton County to Simon Joseph and Marie Allgood Williams. She was an active member of Covington First United Methodist Church for 61 years, a member of the Agape Sunday school class, Satsuki Garden Club and several bridge clubs. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death in 1999 by her loving husband of 46 years, Roger Coleman McIntosh; infant son, Roger C. McIntosh Jr.; sisters, Emma Jo Williams Daniel and Grace Williams Morris; and brother, Larry Earl Williams. She is survived by her daughter, Melinda McIntosh (Chris) McLendon, of Macon; their children, Dr. Taylor Wright (Mary Priestly) McLendon, of Dallas, Texas, and Coleman Lynn McLendon, of Savannah; daughter, Leslie (Harold) McIntosh Lewis, of Highlands, N.C., and Aiken, S.C.; sister Laquetta (Charles) Williams Worden; and many adored cousins, nephews and nieces. Funeral services were Friday, Jan. 30, at Covington First United Methodist Church with Dr. Doug Gilreath officiating.
She married Roger Coleman McIntosh 1953. Roger was born October 14, 1926 in TN. Roger died August 28, 1999 in Covington, Newton Co., GA.
Betty Williams and Roger Coleman McIntosh had the following children:
