Jenny died May 26, 1993 in Gloucester, Gloucester Co., VA. OBIT: Jenny Lou Ward Kurtz, 56, died Wednesday, May 26. A native of Van Lear, Ky., she graduated from Hampton High School in 1954 and had been a resident of Gloucester County since 1965.
She retired in 1985 after five years with the Gloucester Department of Social Services. She was a member of Olive Branch United Methodist Church and the Triangle Squares, Stepping Stones and Rappahannock Waves Square Dancing Clubs.
Survived by her husband, Richard L. Kurtz; a daughter, Julie D. Baker of Gloucester; two sons, Richard M. Kurtz of Harcum and Navy Senior Chief Petty Officer David B. Kurtz of White Marsh; her parents, John and Josephine Ward of Harcum; a brother, John Roger Ward of Hampton; and seven grandchildren.
Funeral at 4 p.m. today at Andrews Funeral Home by the Rev. Willie B. Guill Jr. Burial in Windsor Gardens Cemetery.
