He married Norma Jean George April 22, 1918. Norma was born July 12, 1900 in Floyd Co., KY. Norma died November 12,1979 in Johnson Co., KY. OBIT: Paintsville Hospital after an illness of several weeks. Mrs. Bland was born July 12, 1900, in Floyd County, the daughter of John and Nevada May George. She was a resident of Paintsville and a member of the First Church of God. Her husband, Morris Bland, preceded her in death in Oct 1937. Surviving are a son, John Bland, Paintsville; three daughters, Mrs. Josephine Reed, Clarksburg, WV, Mrs. Rena Frisby, Staffordsville, and Mrs. Helen Bayes, Paintsville, a sister, Dolly McKenzie, Adrian,MI; four brothers, James of Ashland, Eddie and Sam of Prestonsburg, and Otto of Griskin,FL; 12 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren.

14227 vi. Dorothy Frances Bland was born in Flat Gap, Johnson Co., KY May 20,1931. Dorothy died July 23, 1932 in Johnson Co., KY.
14228 vii. John E. Bland was born January6, 1935.
