Born in Jackson County on June 11, 1939, Mr. Berryman was a son of the late D.S. Berryman Jr. and Voy Jeanette Benton Berryman. He was a retired engineer and operations manager for Walton County EMC and was a retired sales associate with Equity Utility, Marietta. Mr. Berryman was a member of Ebenezer United Methodist Church and The Georgia National Guard. A memorial service was held at 2 p.m. Sunday, November 11, in the chapel of Evans Funeral Home, Jefferson, with the Rev. Tilly Welborn officiating. Survivors include two daughters, Jennifer Lane Berryman and Julie Dee Berryman, both of Gainesville; two brothers, Ned Berryman, Jefferson, and Steve Berryman, Lilburn; six sisters, Maxine Cash and Carol Stowe, both of Buford, Polly Henderson, Gainesville, Emily Hardeman, Hull, Betty Nash, Bogart, and Cathryn Phillips, Jefferson; former wife, Cathy Day Cowart, Gainesville; and girlfriend, Melanie Sims, Jefferson.

He married Cathy Day.
