Charles died December 1, 2014. OBIT: Mr. Charles Douglas Cochran, age 72, of Rockmart, GA passed away Monday, December 1, 2014 in a Rome medical center. Charles was born in Paulding County, GA on May 7, 1942 a son of the late Hugh Dorsey Cochran and Opal Marie Carroll Cochran. Mr. Cochran had lived the greater part of his life in the Rockmart area and attended the Springdale Baptist Church. He retired from the General Motors Lakewood Assembly Plant in 1990 and had also worked for APCO here in Rockmart. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister, Virginia Earwood and a wife, Shirley Cochran. Survivors include his wife, Deane Cochran of Rockmart to whom he was married in 2003; two sons: Billy Cochran and husband Barry, Dacula and Joey Cochran and wife Michelle, Rockmart; two step daughters: Rhonda Nicholson, Rome and Karen Ballard, Rockmart; one step son, Joey Coffman, Aragon; four grandchildren, three great grandchildren and a number of step grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 3, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of the Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Bobby McDowell officiating and a eulogy given by his son, Billy Cochran. Interment will follow in the Springdale Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6 until 8 p.m. at the Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home. The Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements for the funeral of Mr. Charles Douglas Cochran.

Deane was born May 26, 1944 in Paulking Co., GA. Deane was the daughter of Earl Edmond Fennell and Willie Mae Tant. Deane died April 10, 2015 in Rockmart, Polk Co., GA. OBIT: Mrs. Deane Fennell Coffman Cochran, age 70, of Rockmart, GA passed away Friday, April 10, 2015. She was born in Paulding County, GA on May 26, 1944, a daughter of the late Earl Edmond Fennell and Willie Mae Tant Fennell. Mrs. Cochran had lived most of her life in Rockmart where she was a member of the Springdale Baptist Church. She was an avid piano player and loved taking trips to the mountains. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Cochran was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Douglas Cochran in 2014; first husband, Joseph Mayo Coffman in 2004; daughter, Sherry Lynn Coffman; and three brothers: Milton, Vernon and Leon Fennell. Survivors include her son, Joseph (Joey) Coffman, Rockmart; two daughters: Karen Ballard, Rockmart and Rhonda Nicholson, Rome; two step sons: Billy Cochran, Dacula and Joey Cochran, Rockmart; nine grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; four step grandchildren; three step great grandchildren; and two brothers: Duane Fennell and Allen Fennell. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 14, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. in the Springdale Baptist Church with Rev. Bobby McDowell and Rev. Danny Roberson officiating. Interment will follow in the Springdale Baptist Church Cemetery. Mrs. Cochran will lie instate at the church on Tuesday from 12 noon until the funeral hour. Active pallbearers will include: Johnny Ballard, Darren Nicholson, Dekota Cook, Autumn Tomlinson, Chuck Ingle and Bruce Fennell. Honorary pallbearers will include: David Willingham, Zach Cook, Austin Cook, Jeremy Cook and Ryan Manning. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6 until 9 p.m. at the Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home. The Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements for the funeral of Mrs. Deane Fennell Coffman Cochran.
