Thelma died February 12, 2015 in Stephens Co., GA. OLBIT: Thelma Nash Poole, age 87 of 73 Hickory Circle, Toccoa, GA, passed away Thursday, February 12, 2015 at the Stephens County Hospital.

A daughter of the late Homer Duncan and Sudie Davenport Nash, she was born December 12, 1927 in Newberry, South Carolina, having lived most of her life in Toccoa. She retired from Belk's after 25 years of service and was a member of the Pentecostal Holiness Church, she was preceded in death by a brother Edward Nash.

Survivors include her husband of 70 years the Reverend Mr. Walter Poole of the home, daughter and son-in-law, Brenda & (Luke) Terrell of Toccoa, two sons and daughters-in-law, Gene & (Anita) Poole of Demorest, GA, Mike & (Tina) Poole of Elberton, GA, grandchildren, Patrick & Jolene Terrell, Ashley Terrell and Ethan Poole.

She married Walter Eugene Poole JR 1945. Walter was born March 23, 1928 in Elberton, Elbert Co. GA. Walter was the son of Walter Eugene Poole and Ella Ruth Johnson. Walter died February 27, 2015 in Toccoa, Stephens Co., GA. OBIT: Mr. Walter Eugene Poole, Jr., age 86 of 73 Hickory Circle, Toccoa, Georgia passed away Friday, February 27, 2015 at his residence. A son of the late Walter E. Poole, Sr. and Ella Ruth Johnson Poole, he was born March 23, 1928 in Elberton, Georgia. He received his call into the ministry in 1950, and shortly thereafter, became an ordained pastor with the International Pentecostal Holiness Church. He pastored in Swainsboro and Monroe, GA, then came to take the pastorate of the Toccoa P.H. Church in 1960. After pastoring in Toccoa, he became a full-­time evangelist and traveled primarily in the Southeastern United States and made missionary trips to Argentina and Chile. He was preceded in death by his wife of 70 years, Thelma Nash Poole in 2015. Survivors include his daughter and son­in­law, Brenda and Luke Terrell of Toccoa; sons and daughters-­in­-law, Walter E. Poole, III and wife Anita of Demorest, Georgia and Joseph Michael Poole and wife Tina of Elberton, Georgia; grandchildren, Patrick Terrell and wife Jolene of Toccoa, Ashley Terrell of Toccoa, Ethan Poole of Elberton; sister and brother­-in-­law, Elva Collins and husband Harold Collins of Athens, GA. Funeral services will be Sunday, March 1, 4:30 p. m, in the Hillcrest Chapel of the Acree­-Davis. Funeral Home with The Reverend Mr. John Ingham and The Reverend Mr. Don Scott officiating. The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers, Reid Ferrell, Wayne Butler, Tommy Collins, Patrick Terrell, Ethan Poole and Mark Nash. The family will be at their respective homes and will receive friends at the Acree-­Davis Funeral Home on Saturday from 6 to 8 p. m. Interment will follow in the Roselane Cemetery with the Acree­-Davis Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements
