Mary died June 22, 2011 in Chester, Chesterfield Co., VA. OBIT: HAMLET, Mary Evelyn, age 73, of Chester, Va., died Wednesday, June 22, 2011. Mrs. Hamlet was the widow of Clyde D. Hamlet, and was also preceded in death by her son, Philip D. Hamlet. She was an avid bowler earlier in her life. Mary is survived by a daughter, Patricia Hamlet Burgess, of Chester; a son, Michael A. Hamlet and wife, Therese, of Chesterfield; daughter-in-law, Cynthia Hamlet; and five grandchildren, Daniel, Jennifer, Robert, and Tina Hamlet, and Richard Burgess. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, June 24, 2011, at the Chesterfield chapel of J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow on Saturday, 10 a.m., in the funeral home chapel. Interment afterwards, in the Sunset Memorial Park, Chester.
She married Clyde Daniel Hamlet December 4,1953. Clyde was born July 11, 1925 in Madisonville, Charlotte Co., VA. Clyde was the son of Joel H Hamlet and Allie (___). Clyde died October 7, 2003 in Chester, Chesterfield Co., VA.
Mary Evelyn Vargo and Clyde Daniel Hamlet had the following children:
