Ruth was born into life Oct. 13, 1924 in Fort Worth to Charles B. Holland and Willie Ethel McNatt. Ruth graduated from Paschal High School. She met and fell in love with Edward John Burda. The two of them married Feb. 13, 1954. Their heritage from the Lord was a daughter, Cecilia.

Ruth was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, Edward John Burda; her brother Deward Earl Holland; her parents, Charles B. and Willie Ethel Holland; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Survivors: Daughter, Cecilia and husband, James Michael Creider; granddaughter, Alyson Michelle Creider and finacee, Jason Don Cline; grandson, Brett Michael Creider and the Creider family; sister, Charlene J. Hunt and husband, Levelious; brothers, Douglas B. Holland and wife, Christine, Donald James Holland and wife, Jesse Anne; aunt, Dee McDuff; sisters-in-law, Mary Ann Burda, Sylvia Burda, Virginia Burda Steele and husband, Cleatus; Marion Burda; several nieces and nephews, great-nieces, great nephews and cousins; many loving friends.
She married Edward John Burda. Edward was born Sseptember 29,1921 in Bremond, Robertson Co. TX. Edward was the son of Joseph B. Burda and Mary F. (___). Edward died October 5, 1995 in Fort Worth, Tarrant Co., TX. OBIT: Edward J. Burda, 74, a retired aircraft painter for General Dynamics, died Thursday at a Fort Worth hospital.
Funeral: 1 p.m. Monday at St. Rita's Catholic Church.
Burial: Mount Olivet Cemetery.
Vigil: 4 p.m. today at Mount Olivet Chapel.
Memorials: American Cancer Society.
Mr. Burda was born Sept. 29, 1921, in Bremond and lived in the Fort Worth area 68 years.
He retired from General Dynamics in 1972 after 27 years of employment.
He served in the Army during World War II. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus.
Mr. Burda was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph B. and Mary F. Burda, and by a sister, Evelyn Burda Cross.
Survivors: Wife, Ruth Holland Burda of Fort Worth; daughter, Cecilia Burda Creider of Watauga; two brothers, Raymond J. Burda of Fort Worth and Joseph Burda Jr. of Burleson; sister, Virginia Burda Steele of Fort Worth; and two grandchildren, Brett Michael Creider and Alyson Michelle Creider, both of Watauga.
