Henry died March 4, 1972 in Ringgold, Bienville Parish, LA. OBIT: Henry M. Davis, 90, died Sunday morning in the Magnolia Manor Nursing Home following a long illness. Mr. Davis, a native of Ringgold, was a 64-year member of Mackay Lodge No. 122, F&AM.

Funeral services will be held Monday in the First Baptist Church in Ringgold with the Rev. Kenneth Gibson officiating, assisted by the Rev. Lebelle Kennedy. Masonic rites and burial will be in the Providence Cemetery under the direction of Robbins Funeral Home of Ringgold.

Survivors include two sons, H. Elwood Davis of Ringgold and J. Pittman Davis of Shreveport; three daughters, Mrs. Syble Watson of Tyler Tex. and Mrs. Opal Hardin and Mrs. Maxine Kennedy, both of Shreveport; six grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

He married Jeffer McGraw January 26, 1905.

Henry Martin Davis and Jeffer McGraw had the following children:

 21002 i. Henry Elwood11 Davis was born in Ringgold, Bienville Parish, LA February 6, 1906. Henry died April 15, 1997 in Coushatta, Red River Parish, LA. He married Mavis Oakley. Mavis was born 1913. Mavis died January 23, 1955.

 21003 ii. Syble Eva Davis was born in Ringgold, Bienville Parish, LA November 12, 1907. Syble died September 16, 2006 in Tyler, Smith Co., TX. OBIT: Services for Syble "BB" Watson, 98, of Tyler, are scheduled for 1:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 22, 2006, at Lloyd James Funeral chapel with Rev. Brett Winters officiating. Burial will follow at Lakewood Memorial Park in Henderson under the direction of Lloyd James Funeral Home. Mrs. Watson passed away on Tuesday, Sept. 19, 2006, in Tyler.

She was born Nov. 12, 1907, in Ringgold, La., to the late Henry Martin Davis and Jeffer McGraw Davis. She worked for Mother Frances Hospital as a registered nurse. She was a member of First Christian Church, Fidelis Sunday School, and had lived in Tyler since 1935. Mrs. Watson received her nursing degree from T.E. Schumpert in Shreveport, La., in 1931. She was preceded in death by her husband, Travis Watson, two brothers and one sister.

She is survived by her sister, Mrs. Maxine Kennedy of Whitehouse; niece, Sheila and husband Freddy Attaway of Whitehouse; niece, Tina and husband Joe Todd of Whitehouse; nephew, Brannon Mattox of Whitehouse; and numerous other nieces and nephews.

Honorary pallbearers are members of the Fidelis Sunday School Class at First Christian Church.

She married Joe Travis Watson.

Joe was born July 29, 1911. Joe died January 18, 1990.

 21004 iii. Opal Marguerette Davis was born November 27, 1909.

 21005 iv. John Pittman Davis was born in Bienville Parish, LA September 28, 1915. John died June 1, 1983 in Bienville Parish, LA. He married Eunice Corley. Eunice was born August 10, 1916 in Bienville Parish, LA. Eunice died December 30,1993 in Bienville Parish, LA.

 21006 v. Mary Maxine Davis was born in Ringgold, Bienville Parish, LA October 3, 1918. Mary died June 13, 2013 in Whitehouse, Smith Co., TX. She married John Rex Kennedy. John was born December 7, 1917 in Ringgold, Bienville Parish, LA. John was the son of Cato Adkins Kennedy and Camilla Corley. John died February 15, 1990 in Whitehouse, Smith Co., TX.
