Evelyn died January 20, 2000 in Tallulah, Madison Parish, LA. OBIT: Evelyn S. Cummins, a Louisiana State Department of Health employee, died Friday. Graveside services are 11 a.m. today at Silver Cross Cemetery, Tallulah, under the direction of Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home, Tallulah.

She married Silas Leander Cummins. Silas was born January 2, 1918 in Drew, Sunflower Co. MS. Silas died April 26, 1973 in Jackson, Hinds Co, MS. OBIT: Funeral services for S. L. (Red) Cummins, 55, of Tallulah were held at 2 p.m. today at the chapel of Crothers Funeral Home of Tallulah, with the Rev. Crawford Williams officiating.

Burial was in the Silver Cross Cemetery in Tallulah under direction of Crothers Funeral Home.

Mr. Cummins died at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Jackson, Miss., Thursday following a long illness. He was a native of Drew, Miss., and had been a resident of Tallulah for 36 years. He was a member of the Southern Baptist Convention.

Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Evelyn Cummins of Tallulah; three sons, Lee Cummins and Mike Cummins, both of Tallulah, and Chester Cummins of Houma, and one grandchild.

Evelyn Lozette Smith and Silas Leander Cummins had the following children:
