Retha died November 11, 2006 in Amarillo, Potter Co., TX. OBIT: Retha Mae Kennedy, 73, of Amarillo died Saturday, Nov. 11, 2006. Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday in Memorial Park Funeral Home Chapel of Memories, 6969 E. Interstate 40, with Robert Fields officiating. Entombment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mrs. Kennedy was born July 25, 1933, in Konawa, Okla., to Fred and Mary Fraizer. She married Paul Kennedy on July 6, 1950, in Vernon, and they moved to Amarillo in 1964. She worked for the Amarillo public schools in the cafeteria and with special needs children. She was a member of Southeast Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Katherine; and two granddaughters, Melissa Pommier and Amanda Kennedy.
Survivors include her husband, Paul; three sons, Kenneth Kennedy and wife Theressa, Terry Kennedy and wife Debbie and Larry Kennedy and wife Darla, all of Amarillo; 14 grandchildren, Katie, DJ, Christopher, Justin, Kayla, Kristin, Erica, Bradley and wife Tasha, Letha and husband Michael, Kevin and wife Renay, all of Amarillo, Samantha of Virginia, Todd and wife Kristi of Panhandle, Jennifer and husband BJ of Canyon and Jennifer and husband Chris of Myrtle, Miss.; 13 great-grandchildren, Kyler, Morgann, Joshua, Michael Jr., Jacinda, Kelton, Clay, Gunter, Laken, Blake, Brook, Branson and Zack; and also many special friends.
She married Paul Andrew Kenedy July 6,1950 in Vernon, TX.
Retha Mae Frazier and Paul Andrew Kenedy had the following children:
