Bonnie died July 25, 2009 in Henderson Co., KY. OBIT: Bonnie Lawson, 74, Henderson, passed on to her heavenly reward at 6 a.m. Saturday, July 25, 2009, surrounded by her family, at Methodist Hospital following a long illness.

Bonnie was born from the union of Ora Allgood Haynes and William Jesse Haynes in Henderson. Bonnie was of the Christian faith, attending The Church of the Nazarene as a child and also Airline Baptist Church and Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church.

Bonnie was the beloved wife of Marvin Lawson of Henderson for 55 years.

In addition to nurturing five children, Bonnie was an avid duplicate bridge player, achieving the status of Gold Life Master.

Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Elizabeth; and one brother, Otis.

Bonnie is survived by her husband, Marvin; five children, Lynda Lawson of Nashville, John Lawson of Lexington, Ky., Ken Lawson of Union, Ky., Julie King of Evansville and Marla Friedman of Florence, Ky.; five grandchildren, Cassie Thomas of Tampa, Fla., Alex Glick of Evansville, Megan Friedman of Florence, Courtney Keel of Alexandria, Ky., and Samantha Hobbs of Nashville; one brother, Billy T. Haynes and his wife, Sandy, of Henderson; one sister, Loretta Hatley and her husband, Jerry, of Henderson; nieces and nephews.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Rudy-Rowland Funeral Home. Father J. Edward Bradley will officiate. Bonnie's final resting place will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.

Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Monday and until service time Tuesday at the funeral home.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the American Cancer Society.

Pallbearers will be Dale Hill, John Groben, Pete Lambert, David Alexander, John Fullenwider and Pat Zimmerman.

Honorary pallbearers will be Don Hayes, R. Russell Davis, Richard Cornett, Don Bradley, Jerry Hatley, Jim Clements and Jeff Dorris.

She married Marvin R. Lawson 1953. Marvin was born October 24, 1924. Marvin was the son of Fred Lawson and Thelma (__). Marvin died January 12, 2012 in Evansville, Vandenburgh Co., IN. OBIT: Marvin R. Lawson, 87, Henderson, passed away at 10:24 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 12, 2012, at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville.

He was a member of Airline Baptist Church. He was an entrepreneur involved with sales and advertising and was a member and strong advocate for the Teamsters union. In everything he did, Marvin loved people and especially enjoyed the fellowship involved with being active with various bridge clubs in the Tri-state area.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Bonnie; his parents, Fred and Thelma Lawson; and his daughter, Lynda.

Survivors include two daughters, Julie King of Evansville and Marla Friedman of Florence, Ky.; two sons, John Wayne Lawson of Lexington and Ken M. Lawson of Union, Ky.; five grandchildren, Megan Friedman, Cassie Thomas, Alex Glick, Courtney Keel and Samantha Hobbs; nieces and nephews.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Tapp Funeral Home. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.

Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. Monday and after 9 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

 18492 v. Lynda Gail Lawson was born July 16, 1954. Lynda died October 30, 2010 in Nashville, Davidson Co. TN. OBIT Lynda Gail Lawson, 56, Nashville, formerly of Henderson, died at 4:50 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 30, 2010, at Skyline Medical Center in Nashville.

She was a member of Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Bonnie Lawson, who died July 25, 2009.

Survivors include her father, Marvin Lawson of Henderson; two sisters, Julie King of Evansville and Marla Friedman of Florence, Ky.; two brothers, John Lawson of Lexington and Ken Lawson of Union, Ky.; nieces and nephews.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church. The Rev. J. Edward Bradley will officiate. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.

Friends may call from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Thursday at Rudy-Rowland Funeral Home.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church.
