OBIT: Elsie Pitts of Lithia Springs passed away on December 21, 2012. She was born in Temple, Georgia to William and Frances Pitts shortly before the family moved to Lithia Springs. Their strong Christian values influenced her from a very early age. Survivors include her brother W.H. Pitts, Jr. and his wife Ella Mae Pitts, a brother-in-law Jimmy Fowler; Nieces, Shirley Austin Kidd, Gayle Fowler Love, Louann Fowler Brush, Melanie Ann Pitts Hollis; Nephews, Emory Pitts, Tommy Pitts; 12 Great Nieces and Nephews; 11 Great Great Nieces and Nephews
She attended Douglas County High School and Draughn Business School of Commerce majoring in Secretarial Science. She retired from Department of Housing and Urban Development after 29 years of service. A faithful member of the Joy Class and a life- long member of Lithia Springs United Methodist Church, Bible reading and study was a part of her daily routine.
