James Oscaar11 Hixon (Addie10 Brooks, William Jacob9, Martha Jane8 Allgood, John Young7, William A.6, John Young5, William4 Algood, Edward3 Allgood, William2, Edward1 Algood) was born in Walnut Grove, GA January 22, 1925. James died December 5,1957 in Villa Rica, Carroll Co., GA. OBIT: J. Oscar Hixon were held Saturday, December 7, 1957 at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Villa Rica.
Survivors include his wife Mildred Parrish Hixon and their three children, Judy, John and Jim; his parents Guy and Addie Brooks Hixon formerly of Temple, his grandmother Mrs. W. J. Brooks, aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
He was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church where he was Sunday School Superintendent, a deacon, chorister and chair of the building committee. He was a Mason and a member of the Villa Rica Chapter of the American Legion.
He was one of 12 who lost their life in the tragic explosion of Villa Rica on December 5, 1957.
James Oscaar Hixon and Mildred Parrish had the following children:
