In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Edward Ward, Bobby Ward, Willie Oscar Ward and Harold Ray Ward and his sister, Martha Jean Haney.
Survivors include his sisters, Shirley Collins, Sue Wilburn both of Carrollton and Mary Lands of Bowdon, Ga.; brothers and sister in law, Robert & Ruedean and Jack Ward all of Carrollton; also surviving are a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, January 26, 2011 at 4 PM from Martin & Hightower Heritage Chapel with Rev. Ronnie Cook and Rev. Greg Banks officiating.
Nephews will serve as pallbearers.
Interment will follow in Carrollton City Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday from 2 PM until the funeral hour.
