Born March 3, 1911 to James and Minnie Mayfield Stafford, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Otis L. Thompson and Clarence Thompson, her children, Estelle Watson, Annie M. Jones, Leo Thompson, brothers, Vance Stafford, Charles "Homer" Stafford, Alex Stafford, Jesse Stafford, sisters, Virginia Dunn, Margaret Hatcher, Laura Hatcher.
She is survived by her son, Otis Allen Thompson and wife Mary of Ponchatoula, LA, ten grandchildren, Joan McCutcheon of Summersville, WV, Anita Howell of Rocky Mt., NC, Racheal Jenkins of South Hill, Susan Tudor of Clarksville, Deloris Bohannon of Boydton, Scott Thompson of Boydton, Theresa Barbarick of Gulf Port, MS, Duane Thompson of Sacramento, CA, Alisa Thomas of Broken Arrow, OK, Stacey Dupree of Madisonville, LA, 18 great grandchildren, 11 great-great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 7:30 PM Sunday evening at Wood Funeral Service, Chase City. Services will be conducted 11:00 AM Monday at Wood Funeral Chapel with interment in Rehoboth United Methodist Church cemetery, Boydton. o
