Eunice died November 7, 2000. OBIT: Eunice Collie Bridges, 86, of Ashland, formerly of Chase City died November 7, 2000. She is survived by a son, Bobby E. Collie of Prince George; a daughter, Gloria C. Hare of Montpelier; four sisters, Elizabeth Toombs of Red Oak, Rose Sturgeon of Aberdeen, N.C., Lydia Pettus of Drakes Branch, and Jane Harring of Florida; two brothers, Charles Wilkerson and George Wilkerson, both of Mechanicsville; seven grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a daughter, Louise C. Patterson. Funeral: Newcomb Allgood Davis Funeral Home, Chase City, with the Reverends Aldin Hicks and Charles Clay. Interment: Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery.

She married twice. She married Jimmie Edward Collie. Jimmie was born June 10, 1909. Jimmie was the son of William Alton Collie and Rosa Lee Ferrell. Jimmie died March 7,1968. She married Carl Nute Bridges October 12,1977 in Mecklenberg Co., VA. Carl was born February 9, 1911 in Cleveland Co., NC. Carl was the son of Columbus Melton Bridges and Mionnie Lee (___). Carl died December 23, 1990 in South Boston, Halifax Co., VA.

Eunice Louise Wilkerson and Jimmie Edward Collie had the following children:
