She married Harry Irving Whelan III May 23,1985 in Petersburg, Dinwiddie Co., VA. Harry was born Ssptember 6,1958 in Richmond, Henrico Co., VA. Harry was the son of Harry Irving Whelan JR and Barbara Wilson. Harry died June 26, 2013 in Colonial Heights, VA. OBIT: Harry “Irv” Irving Whelan, III, 54, of Colonial Heights, passed away on June 26, 2013. He was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy “Becky” Rebecca Whelan; and a brother, Jimmy Whelan. Mr. Whelan was employed by International Paper in Petersburg where over the years he touched many lives. Irv was an avid hunter and fisherman. He is survived by his daughter, Jayme E. Whelan; two sons, Jacob A. and Harry “Irving” Whelan, IV; parents, Harry Irving, II and Barbara Wilson Whelan; two brothers, Kevin and Paul Whelan; Mother and Father-in-law, Marie and Pete Brown, Jr.; a brother-in-law, David Brown and wife, Candy; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other family members. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. Monday, July 1, 2013 at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss and Son Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Dr. Steve Felker and Fr. Lou Ruoff, officiating. Interment will follow in Southlawn Memorial Park, Prince George, VA.

Nancy Rebecca Browm and Harry Irving Whelan III had the following children:
