Gary died January 14, 2012 in Fort Wayne, Allen Co., IN. OBIT: GARY ALAN YORK, 59, died on Saturday, Jan. 14, 2012, at his home surrounded by his family. Born Dec. 7, 1952, in Fort Wayne, he was the son of Albert James York (he survives) and the late Beverly Ann York. He worked 28 years as a driver for UPS. He was a Navy veteran of the Vietnam Conflict era. Also surviving are his wife, Janet York of Fort Wayne; children, Jason Alan York of Missouri, Cassie Lynn York-Kadel of Fort Wayne, and Matthew (Pepsi) Harriman of Washington State; brother, Randall James York of Hamilton, Ind.; sister, Cindy Lipp of Knoxville, Tenn.; and three grandchildren, Trinity, Piper and Ashley. Service is 2 p.m. Friday at Covington Memorial Funeral Home, 8408 Covington Road, with viewing one hour prior to service. Viewing also from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial in Covington Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
