Clarence died March 13, 2013 in Bloomington, Monroe Co., IN. OBIT: Clarence "Jr." Houser, 61, of Spencer, passed away at IU Health Hospital Bloomington on Wednesday, March 13, 2013. He was born on August 24, 1951 in Terre Haute to Clarence and Ivis (Delp) Houser. Clarence was a 1969 graduate of Patricksburg High School. He worked 21 years at Wabash Fiber Box in Terre Haute and most recently was employed at Hometown IGA in Ellettsville as well as the director of outreach missions at the Life Church in Bloomington. His passion was mission work, serving in such places as the Philippines, Fiji, and Russia. He was a member of Life Church, MFI and was the founder of the Rock Church in Monroe County.
Mr. Houser is survived by his wife of 43 years, Sue (Bullerdick) Houser; daughter, Christy (Jay) Norton of Spencer; son, Jeffery (Julie) Houser of Spencer; brother, Rick (Jan) Houser of Clay City; six grandchildren, Joshua, Danny, Jacob, Preston, Tyler and Annie and a great granddaughter, Aryana.
He is preceded in death by his parents
Funeral services will be held at 1 pm, Monday, March 18, 2013 at Life Church, 3575 N. Prow Rd., Bloomington. Pastors Phil Amandola and Mike Carter will officiate. Burial will follow at Wilkerson Cemetery in Poland, Indiana. Visitation will be 10am until 1 pm on Monday at the church.
