Mary died August 7, 2000 in Clarksville, Mecklenburg Co., VA. OBIT: Mary Elizabeth "Lizzie" Hendrick, 86, widow of George Thomas Hendrick, died August 7, 2000, in Community Memorial HealthCenter, South Hill. Funeral services will be held in Liberty Baptist Church with the Rev. Dr. Leonard H. "Buddy" Miller officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Mrs. Hendrick was the daughter of the late John Emmett and Mary Coley Reese. A Mecklenburg County native, she grew up in the Union Level community but lived all her adult life in the Finchley community. She was a member of Liberty Baptist Church. Survivors are three sons: George and David Hendrick, both of Clarksville, and Maurice Hendrick of Lexington, KY; two sisters, Mary Eunice Green of Clarksville and Louise Mustain of Chesapeake; five grandchildren, Donna Tollerson, Tommy Hendrick, John Hendrick, Matthew Hendrick, Stephen Hendrick, and four great-grandchildren.
She married George Thomas Hendrick II. George was born May 22, 1912. George was the son of George Thomas Hendrick and Cora Carter Riggins. George died December 18, 1971 in Clarksville, Mecklenburg Co., VA.
Mary Elizabeth (Lizzie) Reese and George Thomas Hendrick II had the following children:
