Judith died December 26, 2016 in Athens, McMinn Co TN. OBIT: Judith “Judy” Raper Langston, 72, of Athens, died Monday, Dec. 26, 2016, at Athens Place (formerly Brookdale of Athens).
A native and lifelong resident of Athens, she was the daughter of the late W.A. and Bonnie Croft Raper and was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Danny Langston, on June 23, 2013.
Judy received her master’s degree in education from Tusculum College. She served as an educator in McMinn County for more than 30 years, eventually serving as technology coordinator in the central office until her retirement.
She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Rob and Emily Langston of Athens, and Bill and Pamela Langston of Cookeville; and her grandson, Harrison Langston of Cookeville.
The family would like to express their appreciation to the staff of Athens Place for the care and compassion shown to Judy.
She married Floyd Daniel (Danny) Langston JR June 23, 1967 in McMinn Co., TN. Floyd was born November 27, 1943 in Knoxville, Knox Co., TN. Floyd was the son of Floyd Daniel Langston and Rebecca Dunkin. Floyd died June 23, 2013 in Knoxville, Knox Co., TN. OBIT:
