Delma died January 23, 2001 in Liberty, Clay Co., MO. OBIT: Delma Marie Petet, 75, Liberty, MO, passed away Tuesday, January 23, 2001, at her home. Services will be 1:30 p.m. Saturday, January 27, at Gibson Funeral Home, Waverly, MO; burial in Dover Cemetery, Dover, MO. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Friday at Gibson Funeral Home. Visitation will also be 6-8 p.m. Thursday, January 25, at D.W. Newcomer's Sons Floral Hills Chapel, Kansas City, MO. Memorial contributions may be made to Research Medical Center. Mrs. Petet was born November 19, 1925, in Howe County, MO, to Joseph Alvin Woods and Lola May Newman Woods. She was a past member of Blue Ridge Baptist Temple and Calvary Baptist Church in Lexington, MO. She was a member of Olivet Baptist Church in Marshall, MO, and a member of Silver Club in Liberty, MO. Survivors include her husband of 54 years, James R. Petet, of the home; sons, Robert A. Petet of Fairfield, IL, and James A. Petet of Liberty, MO; daughters, Carol Ann Quick of Marshall, MO, and Margaret A. Petet of Utah; sisters, June Francis of West Plains, MO, and Pauline Pittman of California; brother, Alvin Woods of Houston, MO; 10 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
