He married Amanda Alice Reese September 27, 1866 in Lebanon, Cooper co., MO. Amanda was born June 19,1847 in Audrain, MO. Amanda was the daughter of Samuel H Reese and Margaret Crosswhite. Amanda died October 18,1900 in Mendon, Chariton Co., MO.

James Calvin Keeton and Amanda Alice Reese had the following children:
