He married Grace Wood Februry 26, 1946 in Franklin Co., NC. Grace was born May 11, 1926. Grace was the daughter of John Melvin Wood and Novella Christmas Dickerson. Grace died March 12,2008.

Emmitt Alston Lassiter and Grace Wood had the following children:
