Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 4 at Collier-Butler Chapel for Mrs. Dixie W. Bowlin, 91, Ashville who died Saturday, April 1, 2000. Collier-Butler Funeral Home was in charge. Mrs. Bowlin was a native of St. Clair, County and a resident of Jefferson County most of her life. She was of the Baptist Faith and was preceded in death by her husband, Frank A. Bowlin and son, Edward H. Bowlin. She is survived by a son, Henry Doyle Bowlin Ashville; favorite daughter-in-law, Anne Marie Bowlin, Ashville; 5 grandchildren; sisters, Stella Hood, Ashville, Maude Hutchins, Boaz; several nieces and nephews.
