Polk Co., GA.
She married James William Wilson Biggers December 25, 1884 in Haralson Co., GA. James and Mattie
were married by Rev. M. F. Wadell. Mattie is buried at the County Line Cemetery, Polk Co., GA
James was born April 28, 1859 in Haralson Co., GA. James was the son of Thomas Jefferson Biggers and Katherine
Malinda Huey. James died October 11, 1889 in Haralson Co., GA. James Died as from of blood loss after getting his arm
lacerated in a gin. He is buried at the Pleasant Grove Church Cemetery. Mattie was a charter member of County Line Baptist Church, located
on Vinsion Mountain road south of Rockmart, Ga. The church was organized in 1905. Reports indicate that the church met in an old house not
far from present location. In 1906, land was purchased from John C. (Donce) Ezzell for construction of the church. A Two story structure
with church meeting on bottom floor and Masonic Lodge on second floor.
