Laquita died August 25, 2011 in Omaha, Douglas Co., NE. OBIT: Laquita J. Rubenking, age 68, of Nebraska City, passed away on Thursday at UNMC, Omaha. Born July 12, 1943 in Peru, the daughter of Orville C. and Ellen P. (Applegate) Allgood. Graduated from the Peru High School with the class of 1961 and then attended Beauty School in Omaha. United in marriage to Roy R. Rubenking on January 20, 1963 in Peru. She was a hairdresser for many years and also worked at Nebraska School for the Visually Handicapped in Nebraska City where she was a houseparent.
Preceded in death by parents, infant brother Orville; brother Eldon; sister-in-law Sandra Allgood, brother-in-law Howard Halpern. Survived by husband Roy R. Rubenking, Nebraska City; daughter Lori Devine (Terry), Lincoln; son Marvin Rubenking (Heather), Waverly; four grandchildren, one great-grandson, siblings: Darrell Allgood (Jan), Marty Allgood; Ron Allgood (Candy); Deb Sammons all of Nebraska City, Pearl Rainforth (Dave), Lincoln, Arnie Allgood (Kathy), Nacogdoches, Texas; sisters-in-law: Mary Allgood, Nebraska City, Shirley Halpern, Lincoln; other family and friends.
At Laquita's request, no formal services will be held. Memorials to Pulmonology Dept.-UNMC in Omaha. Condolences left at www.gudefuneralhomes.com. Gude Mortuary, Nebraska City is in charge of the arrangements.

She married Roy R. Rubenking January 20, 1963 in Peru, Nemaha Co., NE. Roy was born December 11,1 940 in Anderson, Madison Co, IN. Roy was the son of William Rirchard Rubenking and Fern Lorena Rodaway. Roy died August 23, 2015 in Nebraska City, Otoe Co. NE.
