685. Winnie Ellen6 Allgood (George Wade5, Charles B.4, Edward3, William2 Algood, Edward1 Allgood) was born in Mahaska Co., IA April 3, 1892. Winnie died September 1978 in Yuma, Yuma Co., CO. OBIT: ervices were held at the Yuma Presbyterian Church on September 9 for Winnie Ellen Rawson, who died on thursday, September 7, at the age of 86 years. Interment was in the Yuma Cemetery. Winnie was born April 3, 1892, at Oskaloosa, Iowa, to George and Hannah Hartsock Allgood. She was one of six children. At the age of four she moved with her family to Peru, Nebraska, where she grew to womanhood and received her education. She was married to Edward Earl Rawson on March 10, 1913, at Nebraska City, Nebraska, and came to Yuma County where they homesteaded near Eckley. She lived there until moving to Yuma in 1959. She took and active part in the growth of the Eckley community and served and the church board for many years. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, and all her brothers and sisters. She leaves to mourn her, her children, William G. Rawson and Edward E. Rawson of Denver, Edna J. Foster of Orchard, and Edith M. Stillahn of Yuma; ten grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; 23 great-great-grandchildren; three great-great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and friends.

She married Edward Earl Rawson March 10, 1913 in Nebraska City, Otoe Co., NE. Edward was born July 27, 1888 in Barney, NE. Edward was the son of William Armandy Rawson and Lilly Jane Campbell. Edward died November 25, 1961 in Yuma, Yuma Co., CO. OBIT: Edward Rawson died in his home at Yuma, Colo., Saturday, November 25, 1961, as the result of heart trouble. He had been in failing health for some time.

Born in 1888 at Barney, near Peru, Mr. Rawson was a son of William and Sarah (Campbell) Rawson. He lived at Peru until his homestead was purchased at Eckley, Colo. His work was farming.

He married Winifred Algood of Peru. Four children were born to them. They moved to Yuma about three years ago.

Mr. Rawson was affiliated with the Presbyterian church of Yuma at the time of his death.

Surviving Mr. Rawson are his wife: two daughters, Mrs. Ed (Edith) Stihlan of Yuma, Colo., and Mrs. Louis (Edna) Foster of Montrose, Colo.; and two sons, William Rawson of Yuma, Colo., and Earl Rawson of Denver, Colo

The funeral was held in the Presbyterian church in Yuma. Officiating were Rev. Robert Tull and Rev. Robert Bill of Yuma. Burial was in the Yuma cemetery.

Winnie Ellen Allgood and Edward Earl Rawson had the following children:

2580 ii. Edna Jane Rawson was born in Bacca Co., CO March 20,1915. Edna died January 1982 in Yuma, Yuma Co., CO. She married Louis Pearl Foster October 21, 1937 in Yuma, Yuma Co., CO. Louis was born September 27, 1916 in CO. Louis was the son of Roy Foster and Delia Laura Weickel. Louis died October 3, 2009 in Yuma, Yuma Co., CO.

+ 2581 iii. Edith Mae Rawson was born March 17, 1917.

2582 iv. Edward E. Rawson JR was born in Bacca Co., CO Januay 17, 1919. Edward died September 12, 1996 in Denver, Adams Co., CO.
