Benjamin was born December 31, 1888 in Callahan, Davie Co., NC. Benjamin was the son of Thomas Henry Ratledge and Isabelle J. Cheshire. Benjamin died February 16, 1923 in Currituck, NC.

He married Isabelle Marguerite Burgess September 20, 1941 in Guilford Co., NC. Isabelle was born October 19,1919 in Gaston Co., NC. Isabelle is the daughter of Ambrose Burges and Hellen C Doxey.

4643 iii. Benjamin Atwood Ratledge was born in Mocksville, Davie Co., NC April 19, 1919. Benjamin died May 8, 1919 in Currituck, NC.
4644 iv. Robert Lee Ratledge was born in Mocksville, Davie Co., NC July 7, 1920. Robert died January 9,1934.
