10620. Claude George⁸ Allgood (James Louis⁷, Francis Marion⁶, Lewis W.⁵, Presley⁴, William (Pikey) Henry³, William John², Edward¹) was born July 1911. Claude was rased by his grandmother Martha after the death of his mother in 1913. Claude died February 14, 1989 in Quapaw, Ottawa Co., OK.

He married Viginia Jewel Jones Septembe 2, 1940 in Joplin, Jasper Co., MO. Viginia was born January 12, 1920 in Ottawa Co., OK. Viginia was the daughter of Edward Scott Jones and Norma Jane Bland. Viginia died September 23, 2006 in Quapaw, Ottawa Co., OK. OBIT: Virginia J. Allgood of Quapaw, Okla., died Saturday, Sept. 23, 2006, at Higher Call Nursing in Quapaw. She was 86.

Allgood was born Jan. 13, 1920, to Edward Scott and Nora Jane (Bland) Jones. She was a lifelong resident of Ottawa County.

She was a homemaker. She was a member of First Assembly of God Church in Baxter Springs, Kan., and the Wyandotte Tribe of Oklahoma.

She married Claude Allgood on Sept. 2, 1940, in Joplin, Mo. He preceded her in death on Feb. 14, 1989. She was also preceded in death by one son, Larry D. Allgood.

Survivors include one daughter and her husband, Claudette and Sonny Green of Quapaw; one sister, Jannie Lou Smotherman of Owasso, Okla., and three grandchildren, Pamela Hughes, Cynthia Cookinham and Eyler Green.

Services were Tuesday, Sept. 26, at G.A.R. Cemetery in Miami with the Rev. Ellen Herren officiating.

Arrangements were under the direction of Paul Thomas Funeral Home of Picher.

Claude George Allgood and Viginia Jewel Jones had the following children:
