Lloyd died Decmber 25, 2012 in Seymour, Wayne Co., IA. OBIT: Lloyd W. Andeway, age 96, of Promise City, Iowa, and a former resident of Centerville, Iowa, died Tuesday, December 25, 2012, at Continental Care Center in Seymour, Iowa. He was born the son of Bastian and Hulda(Waymore)Andewary on December 15, 1916 in Rose Hill, Iowa. He attend the What Cheer Community Schools in What Cheer, Iowa.

He served his country during WWII in the United States Army from September of 1942 until his honorable discharge in February 1946. On December 21, 1963, Lloyd was united in marriage to Iris White in Unionville, Missouri. He was a farmer and he farmed near Plano, Iowa for many years.

Lloyd was preceded in death by: his parents; a brother, Omer Andeway; two sisters, Lucille Davis and Evelyn Andeway; along with a son-in-law, Bob L. Shadden, sister-in-law, Emily Andeway; and brother-in-law, Joe Davis.

He is survived by his wife, Iris Andeway of Promise City, Iowa; a daughter, Sonya Swan and her husband, Tom of Promise City, Iowa; step-sons, Larry Cowan and his wife, Karen of Cincinnati, Iowa, Gary Cowan and his wife, Bernadine of Centerville, Iowa and Lyle Cowan and his wife, Betty Lou of Cincinnati, Iowa; step-daughter, Rose Mary Shadden of Davenport, Iowa; grandchildren, T.J. Swan and his fiance, Amanda Halferty and Hannah Swan; Ten step-grandchildren; a great grandchild, Lila Swan; and several great step-grandchildren; as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral services will be held at 2 pm Saturday, December 29, 2012 at the Schmidt Family Funeral Home in Centerville, Iowa with Kevin Poole officiating. Burial with full military honors will follow at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Cincinnati, Iowa Visitation will be held on Friday, December 28, 2012 from 2-7 pm with the family present from 5-7 pm at the funeral home.

He married twice. He married Helen Norsigiion. Helen was born June 17, 1915. Helen died November 12, 2005 in Oskaloosa, Mahaska Co., IA. Obit: OSKALOOSA — Helen L. Andeway, 90, of Oskaloosa and formerly of What Cheer, died Saturday Nov. 12, 2005 at the Montezuma Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Garland-Van Arkel-Langkamp Funeral Chapel with Reverend Robert Dean of Central United Methodist Church in Oskaloosa officiating.

Burial will be in Forest Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Garland-Van Arkel-Langkamp Funeral Chapel with the family present from 6:30-8 p.m. to greet visitors.

Memorials may be made to Alzheimer's Association.

He married Iris Lee White December 21, 1963 in Unionville, Putnam Co., MO. Iris was born February 23,1928 in Putman Co., MO. Iris was the daughter of Ernest Delbert White and Lilly Bell Baugher. Iris died January 29, 2015 in Corydon, Wayne Co., IA. OBIT: Iris L. Andeway, age 86 of Promise City, Iowa, died on Thursday, January 29, 2015 at Wayne County Hospital in Corydon, Iowa. She was born the daughter of Delbert and Lillie(Baugher)White on February 23, 1928 near Mendota, Missouri. She received her education in a rural country school near Mendota.

Iris was first united in marriage to Lloyd Cowan, then later they were divorced. Then on December 21, 1963, Iris was united in marriage to Lloyd Andeway in Unionville, Missouri. She was a homemaker and enjoyed taking care of her family.

She was preceded in death by: her parents; husband, Lloyd Andeway on December 25, 2012; brother, Delbert White; sisters, Dovie Gallo, Elva Shadden, Lola Morgan, Bessie Perkins, Dulcie Andrews and Jennie Carter; son-in-law, Bob L. Shadden.

Iris is survived by: her children, Larry Cowan and his wife, Karen of Cincinnati, Iowa, RoseMary Shadden of Davenport, Iowa, Gary Cowan and his wife, Bernadine of Centerville, Iowa, Lyle Cowan and his wife, Betty Lou of Cincinnati, Iowa and Sonya Swan and her husband, Tom of Promise City, Iowa; a sister, Reva Carter of Springfield, Missouri; twelve grandchildren; and numerous great grandchildren.

Graveside funeral services will be held at 10 am on Monday, February 2, 2015 at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery near Cincinnati, Iowa with Kevin Poole officiating, burial will follow. Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 1, 2015 from 2-6 pm at the Schmidt Family Funeral Home in Centerville, Iowa with the family present from 4-6 pm.
