She married Robert Taylor Sala February 10, 1941 in Kimball, Kimball Co., NE. Robert was born January 25, 1920 in Naper, Holt Co., MO. Robert was the son of Samuel Edwin Sala and Mary Bell Taylor. Robert died September 2, 2010 in Tucson, Pima Co., AZ. OBIT: Robert Taylor Sala, 90, of Tucson, passed away on September 2, 2010.

He is survived by his loving, caring wife, Phyllis; children, Michael (Janet) and John (AnnaLiza); grandchildren, Samuel, Lena, Cianna, Janessa and Kassondra; and great-grandchildren, Maya and Cara.

Robert was preceded in death by his son, Richard.

Robert began his life as a young boy sharecropper, serving in World War II as an aviation mechanic with Douglas Aircraft. He then became a real estate broker in Colorado, afterwards retiring and moving to Tucson in 1987, where he enjoyed his retirement years.

Cryptside Service will be held at EAST LAWN PALMS MAUSOLEUM, 5801 E. Grant Rd., on Thursday, September 9, 2010, at 12:00 noon.

Betty Jean Ankeney and Robert Taylor Sala had the following children:
