William Earl “Bill” Allgood, 73, of Greenbrier, died Friday, Oct. 10, 2003, at North Crest Medical Center. Funeral services were conducted Saturday, Oct. 11 at 3 p.m. in the Oakhurst Chapel of the Robertson County Funeral Home with Rev. David Evans and Dr. Fred Baldwin officiating. The interment followed in Memorial Gardens. Mr. Allgood was born March 15, 1930, in Robertson County to the late Robert Henry and Amanda Katherine Brinley Allgood. He was retired from Jamison Bedding and was a Baptist. Mr. Allgood is preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Poole Allgood, daughter, Shirley Ann Allgood, brothers, Dallas, Robert, Bailey and Eugene Allgood. Survivors include a son, Donald Allgood and wife, Kathy of Nashville; daughter, Debbie Rittenberrry and husband, Donnie of Greenbrier; brothers, Clarence Allgood and wife, Ruby of Springfield and Walter Allgood of Springfield; grandchildren, Jason Allgood and wife, Rachel, David Allgood, Michael and April Rittenberry; great-grandchildren, Dayton Blaise and Wheeler Allgood. Robertson County Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

He married Dorothy Poole. Dorothy was born September 20, 1933. Dorothy died February 12, 1998 in Springfield, Robertson Co., TN.
