He married Kathryn Marie Lyles 1946 in Holly Spriings, Marshall Co., MS. Kathryn was born May 4, 1924 in Memphis, Shelbly Co., TN. Kathryn was the daughter of John Clifton Lyles and Kathryn Christine Dyke. Kathryn died June 11, 2007 in Cheathman Co., TN. Obit: Kathryn Marie Allgood, 83, of Pegram, died June 11, 2007, at Christian Care Center of Cheatham County.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday (today) at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Springfield, with Bro. Leon Edwards officiating.
Interment will follow in Oakland Cemetery.
Mrs. Allgood was born May 4, 1924, in Memphis, to John Clifton and Kathryn Christine Dyke Lyles.
She worked as a homemaker and was of the Baptist faith.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Harold Eugene Allgood; and four brothers, Bob, Dutch, Red and Joe Lyles.
She is survived by a son, Bobby (Brenda) Allgood of Kingston Springs; daughters, Mary Allgood of White Bluff, and Pat McGee of Minniapolis, Minn.; five grandchildren, Christopher McGee, Lori Legg, Brandon McGee, Desiree Taylor and Keith Allgood; and six great-grandchildren.
Austin & Bell Funeral Home, Springfield, is in charge of arrangements.
Harold Eugene Allgood and Kathryn Marie Lyles had the following children:
